Does Fairmoney call contacts? This is the question many loaners ask most especially when they have unpaid loan on the Fairmoney app.
Well, as regulated by the federal government of Nigeria and Google Play store policy, no online lender is permitted to call their customers’ contacts. If such act happens, it’s your right to report the situation to FCCPC.
The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) is a government agency and initiative that protects customers right in Nigeria. The agency protects borrowers from unfair practices of online lenders.
The FCCPC investigates complaints about loan sharks or other financial entities involved in harassment, data breaches, or defamation of borrowers during debt recovery.
In a nutshell, Fairmoney does not call contacts again. However, it’s advisable to pay off your loan because other legal actions will be taken against you if you fail to repay your loan.
Furthermore, Fairmoney loan recovery agents may visit your house for legal arrest. Make sure you check their arrest warrant before you comply with the arrest. The visitation of Fairmoney agent usually happens in city like Lagos.
Fairmoney Early Repayment

Furthermore, if you repay your loan early on the Fairmoney Loan App, you can opt-in for instant reapplication for new loans.
Fairmoney Loan repayments can be made through various methods, including bank transfers, USSD, and debit cards. You can repay the loan manually and automatically via debit cards.
How to Delete Fairmoney Account
Deleting your Fairmoney account means removing your Bank Verification Number (BVN) and National Identification Number (NIN) and other personal data from the Fairmoney database.
However, to close down your Fairmoney account, you will need to paid off all your outstanding loan on the app and withdraw all the money in your balance.
Once all that is done, you can proceed with the account deletion. If you don’t pay all your debt or there’s still an amount above ₦0.00 in your account, you will not be able to delete your account.
To delete your FairMoney account, follow these steps:
- Contact Fairmoney’s Customer Support: Send an “Account Deletion Request” to Fairmoney’s Email at help@fairmoney.ng. In the email, include your registered email or phone number for identification and clarification.
- Provide Information: You will need to verify your identity by providing necessary personal details such as NIN and confirmation of Bank Verification Number (BVN) when contacted by a representative.
- Follow Instructions: Adhere to any guidance given by the customer representative regarding the account closure procedure.
- Await Confirmation: Wait for a confirmation email indicating that your account has been successfully deleted.
Like I said earlier, ensure all outstanding loans are settled before initiating this process otherwise the request will not be successful.
