  • Login to your OPay account via app and click on your “Profile Picture” at the top left corner of your dashboard.
  • Scroll down and click “Account Tier”. If you’re in Tier 1, Tier 2 or Tier 3, click in it to proceed to your ACC information including account limit and linked ID.
  • Next, click “Linked ID” and input your OPay transaction PIN to access your BVN information.
  • At the bottom of the “Linked ID Details”, click “If there has been a change to the name on your ID, please click here to update your name.”
  • On the next page, you can choose to update your BVN to tally with your name or choose to update your NIN-ID to tally with your name on the OPay account.

Note: There’s no way to remove BVN from OPay account without phone number or email. Updating BVN has to come with genius reasons.

Understanding BVN Removal Consequences

You see, if by any chance you were able to remove, or delete your Bank Verification Number (BVN) on your OPay account, you may face several consequences like security risks, limited account features and accessibilities, compliance issues, e.t.c.
