The Moniepoint Pay Authorized Code, otherwise known as Moniepoint Business PIN, is a 4-digits transaction pin that authorizes the processing of every transaction on the Moniepoint POS machine and on Moniepoint business banking app.

With the “pay authorization code”, Moniepoint agent can authorize bill payments transactions, money transfer and purchases of airtime and data on the Moniepoint POS.

In this article, I’m going to walk you through how you can use the pay authorized code to sell or load data on Moniepoint POS terminal. I will also explain what “purchase” means in Moniepoint POS.

How to Buy Data on Moniepoint POS

Loading or buying data on the Moniepoint POS machine is a very simple task to do. All Moniepoint POS machines (be it mPOS, Android/Traditional or SmartPOS) can be used to pay bills including purchasing of mobile airtime and data.

Follow these steps to buy data on Moniepoint POS machine:

  • Press any button on your Moniepoint POS device to unlock the screen.
  • Tap on “Menu” and navigate to “Airtime and Data”.
  • Select “Data” and choose your preferred “Mobile Network”.
  • Input your “Phone Number” and choose your preferred “Data Plan”.
  • Data plan on Moniepoint POS ranges from 0.5GB to 100GB.
  • The prices are varies based on network providers e.g MTN, Airtel, GLO and 9Mobile.
  • Once you select network, data plan, and price, input the terminal “pay authorization code” to authenticate the data purchase.

Upon successful transaction, you will receive the data amount on the designated phone number and price for the data will be deducted from the POS balance.

However, in rare cases where money is deducted and data is not credited, you can log a dispute on the POS terminal and Moniepoint customer care service will see to the situation within 24 hours.

What does "Purchase" means in Moniepoint POS machine?

Purchase is a transaction type on the Moniepoint POS terminal that works exactly like "withdrawal". However, for every transaction carried out under "purchase" menu, you'll be charged 0.5%.

The differences between purchase and withdrawal is that purchase is good for charging your customer that want to make higher payment. If you're using Moniepoint for business, then "withdrawal should be the best option for you.

In a nutshell, the “Purchase” option on Moniepoint POS terminal typically refers to a standard transaction where a customer makes a payment to buy goods or services. With it, agents can collect payment from their customers via debit cards.
