Moniepoint offers three types of point-of-sales (POS) terminals; SmartPOS/Standard POS, Mobile/Mini POS (mPOS), and MP35P Smart POS terminal (also can be classified into two terminals; Moniepoint ISO Lite and All-in-One Terminal).

The Moniepoint Tranditional POS or Android POS is no longer available. To buy the tranditional POS, you will need to contact some vendors that still have it on online marketplace like Jiji and Konga.

However, the prices of Moniepoint POS terminals vary based on the source you are buying it from and the specific terminal model you want to buy, but here are the general price ranges:

  • The Moniepoint SmartPOS/Standard POS is the most commonly used Moniepoint POS terminal for agents and its cost N21,500. The N21,500 is a one-time payment with no additional maintenance or setup fees but an issuance fee which be payable every year.
  • The Moniepoint ISO Lite is priced around N5,000, and the All-in-One Terminal is around N20,000.
  • The Mini POS is priced at the rate of N16,000.

The SmartPOS is built, designed and leveraged for small, medium and large businesses with a high volume of transactions in Nigeria.

It has a built-in printer, long-lasting battery, and an easy-to-use android operating system. These are the major reason the POS terminal is most commonly used among other Moniepoint POS machines.

The mPOS is a versatile and affordable mini payment terminal for small and medium-sized businesses. It's compatible with all cards, secure payments, and POS transfer enabled. Lastly, the Moniepoint’s MP35P Smart POS terminals are user-friendly terminals with a touch screen.

It works similarly with SmartPOS and can also be classified as a mini POS. In other words, the MP35P Smart POS terminals are the combination of a part of SmartPOS and Mobile POS.

In a nutshell, the price of a Moniepoint Point of Sale (POS) terminal is ₦21,500, which includes: ₦10,000 caution fee, ₦10,000 logistics fee, and ₦1,500 insurance fee for one year. However, it’s important to note that Moniepoint only leases its POS terminals out to agents and merchants, so that they don't need to spend a lot of capital to buy one.

Moniepoint also charges commissions for transactions, which are: 0.5% of the transaction amount for withdrawals between ₦1 to ₦20,000, ₦100 for transactions above ₦20,000, ₦20 for transfers, 2% for all networks for airtime, and No charge for bill payments.
